China's state image has become a significant part of its national interest.China's African strategy is one important issue affecting its national image,and has drawn a great deal of attention from all over the world.Yet the expansion of China-African relations is frequently misunderstood,misinterpreted and even attacked by the West or its media,thus seriously tarnishing China's state image.It should be noted that one of the weaknesses of China's African strategy lies in its propaganda.The author discusses the impact of China's African strategy on the current international order,analyzes the different interpretations of China's strategy and refutes some recent misguided criticisms made by outside observers.The author finally suggests how China could create a positive state image through both actions and propaganda.
