Neoliberal policies including economic liberalization have resulted in a thriving international education market globally (Brooks & Waters, 2011). Western post-industrial, capitalist and secular countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Australia are no longer the main players in the international education market, since they are competing with significant education providers in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and other postcolonial countries. International education as a private good is seen as an important industry in generating income and economic profits.Published: 2018Typ: bookSectionISBN: 978-1-138-55030-8
